Preschool News

• The Alberta government Child Care's new Affordability Grant covers $100 per child per month of the preschool fees. This $100 grant is deducted from the monthly preschool fees (see Registration/Fees tab).
• What a wonderful month it has been! The children are becoming familiar with their new routines. They are learning to take turns with their classmates and exploring the different centres. We are so glad to see many smiling faces each day.
• Our lovely little pumpkins came to school on Halloween days dressed up and pretended to be someone or something else for a day. We had great fun trying to "scare" our parents with our finger plays and songs. The emphasis was on the FUN, not the FRIGHT. What a fun Halloween parade we had at the preschool Boo!!
• The years children spend at preschool are precious and a very important time of their lives. We are honored to get to spend some of that special time with them. We plan to have an exciting year full of fun, friendships, learning and many discoveries.

Upcoming Events for Families of Unique Kids:

• We will be focusing on kindness and being good friends through engaging our preschoolers with a variety of activities and crafts that circulate around this theme.
• Nursery rhymes, fairy tales, fables, flannel board stories, videos, storytelling and songs will be our theme for the month of November.
• Our Mon/Wed/Friday class will go on a field trip to the Crowfoot Library to be engaged in a variety of stories and flannel boards. The kids will also have the chance to tour and explore the library.
• A librarian will be visiting Our Tues/Thursday class with a traveling library to complement themes discussed through stories and flannel boards. Kids always have wonderful time listening to stories and interacting with the librarian.
• Photographer will be at Unique Kids for picture day. Don't forget your smile!
